🗣️ Gianni Infantino has apologised “for the mistakes… in relation to the communication and consultation” for FIFA Forward Enterprise. He adds that the FIFA Peace Prize will be “analysed” along with a change to the FIFA Disciplinary Code to stop automatic one-game bans being suspended in light of the Flo Balogun saga. Infantino also confirmed FIFA members are set to receive $25m for the funding cycle 2027-30 as part of a a proposed initiative called the FIFA Surplus Solidarity Programme. Not everyone in the FIFA Council meeting satisfied with the explanations given, but Infantino will feel well-positioned to carry on as FIFA President, even with UEFA still driving a move to find a candidate to run against him.
